About Me

Dr. Gabriela DePrima is a licensed clinical psychologist who is a South Florida native growing up in Miami, Florida. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the University of Miami and obtained her Master’s and Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  Dr. DePrima has received specialty training in child and adolescent clinical psychology during both her internship at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and post-doctoral fellowship at University of California-Davis, College of Medicine in Sacramento, California.

 

Dr. DePrima has over 10 year experience providing quality, culturally-sensitive and evidence based treatment to children, adolescents and adults. She has worked as a faculty member and lead child and adolescent psychologist at the University of Florida, College of Medicine, in Jacksonville, FL, a psychologist at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL and as child and adult psychologist in private practice in Boca Raton and Coral Springs. She provides services in both English and Spanish.

Dr. DePrima's areas of specialization include anxiety disorders, depression, peer and interpersonal conflicts, life transitions and adjustment difficulties, family discord, chronic stress, poor self-concept, women's issues, LGBTQ+, parenting and social communication problems.
